Claire is one of our bright stars.
Claire graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2006 with a combined degree of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws. Claire worked in the private sector for several years before being admitted as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in August 2010. After a year as an Associate to Justice Alan Blow, now Chief Justice Blow, she joined FitzGerald and Browne. Her work is largely in the areas of family and criminal law, and includes a practice in the State Magistrates Court and the Federal Circuit Court. Claire also volunteers at the Hobart Community Legal Service and is a member of the Southern Young Lawyers Committee.

Another one of our bright stars.
Meaghan Jones graduated from the University of Tasmania in 2008 with a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Arts and was admitted to practice in mid-2009. Meaghan has now gone a step further and completed her Masters Degree in Applied Family Law at the College of Law and has been awarded the Sandra Paul Memorial Prize for the best graduating student of her class.
The Sandra Paul Memorial prize is a legacy of the late Sandra Paul, a dedicated and passionate family lawyer who lifted the practice of family law to levels of excellence for all to aspire to.
For Meaghan, a Masters Degree was an opportunity to equip herself with the skills to tackle complex family cases head on and to provide her clients the best professional service.
As a result, Meaghan has developed into an experienced and dedicated young lawyer with a passion to better herself professionally. We are pleased to have her as a part of our team. Meaghan also works in the Estates areas.
Meaghan has experience in a wide range of children’s issues including care arrangements of children, international and interstate relocation cases and grandparent matters. She has also gained experience in a range of property matters, including Financial Agreements, spousal maintenance, adult child maintenance, child support, divorce applications, and of course, property settlements.
Meaghan sits on the Southern Young Lawyers Committee and volunteers her time at the Hobart Community Legal Centre.
Colleen handles much of the firm’s conveyancing, administers our trust account and manages the general office accounting. She is a gem! She is also a legend on the badminton court!
